Madden 25 Controls Guide for Xbox Series X|S and PS5

First off, it's worth clarifying that we're specifically breaking down the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 controls here. While Madden 25 is available on Xbox One and PS4, many of the new game mechanics are missing from past gen, so there may be slight differences to what you see here.

For those of you who have been buried in College Football 25 before making the leap to Madden 25, rest assured almost everything is the same. The only differences are the Hesi/Back Juke being a Dead Leg and checking X-Factor Vision during preplay instead of the equivalent Player Abilities view in College Football 25.

Madden 25 Offense Controls

First up, we'll go through the four different types of Madden 25 controls on offense. Ballcarrier controls represent any time you're on the run, passing controls when it's time for your quarterback to throw bombs, preplay controls to make adjustments before the snap, ball in air controls to get your receiver using the right catching motion, and specific player locked receiver controls.
